Even it is usable at the door windows and wooden floors too. Not sure how well it will hold up to foot traffic. I never use polyshades. The thinking of minwax is they cannot stand behind their product in flooring use since as the wear layer wears the colour density changes as well which to most users would be unacceptable.

On a scrap piece of wood practice brushing out a few strokes of polyshades to get a feel for how it flows onto the wood. Work quickly as you apply polyshades the length of each board in smooth even strokes. The satin stain makes the floor smooth shiny and elegant. Take care to apply an even coat of the product and remember.

Polyshades is more like a paint in that the colour coats the surface instead of staining it and acts as the wear layer as well.

Minwax polyshades on my entire floor you could try to put a coat of polyurethane or two on top of the floor but as big g mentioned you re using it for a non recommended use.
