Project zomboid how to build second floor.
Almost to level 5 carpentry and i m trying to build my own house.
And there s no need for supports to hold up the second floor.
The moment the only way to build a roof is by building a staircase and climbing upto a second floor.
I build a set of stairs and try to place wooden floor at the top but the character thinks i m trying to build it on the ground behind the stairs and walks away.
You can t do it any other way than staircases or using existing 2 7th floor buildings to bridge over to your place.

I m not understanding how to build a roof or a ceiling.
As far as i know you have to be on the second floor to build the second floor meaning you d probably have to build two sets of stairs go up to the center of the second one then start laying flooring.
You can build a second story then destroy everything under it and it will stay up.
3 build a staircase which puts one floor tile at the top of the stairs letting you build up there.
But then i fell right through along with some ceiling.
I can t even build a second story.
This means that rappelling from second floor to the ground floor would require 2 sheet ropes.
How do you make a second floor.
The sheet rope allows the player to descend out a window to ground level without taking any fall damage using 1 sheet rope per floor rappelled along with a hammer and 1 nail to secure it regardless of the number of floors the sheet rope will cover.
